The Campaign for Woods' Second Century
In 1913, a school teacher by the name of Mollie Woods made her dream a reality with the establishment of The Woods Schools. Mollie’s dream was to provide care for the exceptional child that would foster the ability “to meet the problems of everyday life, to make normal adjustments, to acquire sources of satisfaction for the present as well as for later years, and …
… to know the joy of achievement.”
Today, Woods Services sustains Mollie’s dream by continuing to help people with exceptional needs face significant life challenges with dignity. A campaign to mark Woods’ Centennial – The Campaign for Woods’ Second Century – will allow us to maintain the highest levels of quality care for those we serve now and in the future.
